For my upcoming feature – Fountains, I wanted to film a matrix-style bullet-time scene for the gymnasts at Sydney Uni Gymnastics. I did a lot of research.

Basically I needed tonnes of still cameras, some way to trigger them remotely, a timing mechanism to stagger their firing. Later, I found that the biggest problem was actually powering so many cameras from one power supply. Wiring was also a big issue.

My thread at chdk also documents my problems and my progress. David AKA Microfunguy has been great at answering my questions and shooting off ideas.
