Fountains

Fountains is a light romantic comedy about how our misdeeds come back to haunt us. It focuses on the interactions between Elisa, Sachin, Zac and Diego. Dance plays an important part in the film, expressing the emotions of the actors and a taste of things to come. The interactions between the key characters set into motion a chain of events that affect their lives deeply.

This is a call for submission for the key character of Diego. The roles of Elisa, Sachin and Zac have already been filled.

Diego is a gay male (ages 18-32). He is a sensitive, insecure and a talented contemporary dancer. His role calls for a contemporary dance piece, approximately 5 minutes long. Thus the actor playing Diego would be a contemporary dancer who would be comfortable choreographing or working with a choreographer. The 5-minute dance piece is with a female dancer with the theme of misunderstanding and repetition. The submission requires a showreel – preferably showing both your dance and acting abilities. The submission will be reviewed and the successful applicants will be contacted individually.

This is a paid job – payment can be discussed with the director.

Shoot dates will be in Feb/March 2010 after the cast has been finalized. Email is the preferred method of showreel submission.
